Steeplechaser Isaac Updike, who was born and raised in Ketchikan, finished third on July 10 at the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. His time was 8 minutes, 17.69 seconds. That performance qualifies him for the World Championships taking place in Budapest, Hungary August 19 to 27. Updike spoke with KRBD on July 13 about his sport, training and future plans.
