The search for the next full-time superintendent of Ketchikan’s school district kicks into high gear Thursday.
For roughly six hours, Ketchikan’s school board and representatives of the Association of Alaska School Boards are scheduled to go through applications for the district’s top job.
Portions of the meeting will be held behind closed doors, the school board said in a news release. The board says it anticipates narrowing the choices down to three or four finalists with an announcement by the end of the day.
The meeting starts at noon Thursday in Ketchikan’s Borough Assembly chambers in the White Cliff Building. It’ll be live-streamed on the borough’s website and carried on local cable channels. Members of the public have a chance to speak at the beginning of the meeting.
