A 21-year-old Ketchikan man faces felony drug charges for allegedly trying to accept a package through the mail that contained about 32 grams of heroin.
According to the online Alaska State Troopers dispatch, Christian Mathers was charged with attempted second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, a Class B felony. He also was charged with violating conditions of release for another felony case.
Troopers report that the investigation and arrest involved the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit in Ketchikan with K-9 Misty, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Ketchikan Police Department.
