A 32-year-old Ketchikan man faces two counts of possessing child pornography following an investigation by the Ketchikan Police Department.
According to the complaint filed Wednesday by Detective Ryan Pritz, the investigation started in August when local police received cyber-tips through the Anchorage Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children division.
The cybertips showed graphic images of young girls. The images were found on Tumblr accounts allegedly linked to Caleb Jonathan Mailly.
According to the complaint, when police contacted Mailly on Tuesday, he allegedly provided passwords to his Tumblr accounts and email. The email address was linked to Mailly’s phone number, and he allegedly admitted to possessing child pornography on his Tumblr accounts.
Each of the two counts is a Class C felony charge. An initial hearing was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
