Two last-minute candidates filed for local office before the filing period ended at noon on Monday.
Spencer Strassburg added his name to the list of Ketchikan City Council candidates, and Felix Wong filed for re-election to the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly.
Strassburg’s entry into the council race brings the candidate total to four. He, Sam Bergeron, incumbent Janalee Gage and Dragon London are competing for two three-year terms.
Bob Sivertsen is running unopposed for city mayor.
Wong’s decision to run for re-election brings the borough assembly candidate total to six. Also running for the two three-year assembly seats are Dan Bockhorst, James Montgomery, Austin Otos, Dani Pratt and Sven Westergard.
Running for three open seats on the Ketchikan School Board are incumbents Lana Boler and Matt Eisenhower, Rachel Breithaupt, Bridget Mattson and Sonya Skan.
The municipal election is Oct. 2.
