Two recent Ketchikan high school graduates are among the second set of interns working with Sen. Lisa Murkowski this summer in her Washington, D.C., offices.
According to an announcement last week, nine Alaskans will spend a month shadowing Murkowski throughout her work day, including Senate hearings and meetings. The interns also will help the senator’s office with administrative and clerical work.
The two Ketchikan interns are Piper Cooper and Max Varela.
Other interns come from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Sterling, Palmer and Unalaska.
