Kayhi’s Academic Decathlon team completed its first regional meet of the year in Juneau this past weekend. Ketchikan students took first place in four out of the 10 events.
Max Valera placed first in economics and social science. He also took second place in essay. Valera had the highest overall total score of anyone at the meet.
Largim Zhuta took first place in both economics and mathematics, and fifth in social sciences. Zhuta placed sixth overall.
Campbell Sande took first place in music. Sande also took fourth place in literature.
