The Ketchikan City Council meets in special session Monday to interview applicants for a vacant Council seat.
The five applicants are Mike Carney, Mark Flora, Spencer Strassburg, George Tipton and Carlos Weimer.
The interviews will take place in open session, and Council members then have the option of discussing their preferences in executive session.
A vote to fill the seat must happen in open session.
Monday’s special meeting starts at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers. Public comment will be heard at the start of the meeting.
