Sue Pickrell filed late Wednesday afternoon for one of two three-year seats open on the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly.
Pickrell was not available for comment by deadline. She ran unsuccessfully for Borough Assembly last year.
Pickrell works with elders at Ketchikan Indian Community. She served previously on the Ketchikan School Board and KIC Tribal Council.
Two other candidates filed earlier this month to run for Assembly. They are Rodney Dial and Keith Smith. The two open seats currently are held by Bill Rotecki and Alan Bailey. Neither can run for re-election because of term limits.
Also on the ballot this year is the borough mayor seat. Mayor David Landis has filed for re-election and so far has no challengers.
As of Wednesday afternoon, nobody has filed for two open Ketchikan School Board seats, currently held by Trevor Shaw and David Timmerman.
Ketchikan City Council incumbents Judy Zenge and Julie Isom have filed for re-election, and so far are the only candidates for those city seats.
The deadline to file for borough and city elected office is 5 p.m. Thursday.
