Cheyenne Mathews
Ketchikan High School senior Cheyenne Mathews placed third in the American Legion’s Oratorical Contest. The National finals were held April 16th and 17th in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mathews spoke about the competition.
Mathews is also the Alaska winner of the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Competition. She will be heading to the finals in Alabama in mid-June.
