Gov. Sean Parnell announced last week that he appointed Ketchikan resident Hans Antonsen to the state Board of Marine Pilots.
Antonsen is a longtime pilot and officer for Southeast Alaska Pilots Association. He is a founding director of the Alaska Marine Exchange, and a member of the American Pilots’ Association, International Maritime Pilots’ Association, and Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce.
Antonsen was appointed as a pilot representative on the state board, and his appointment was confirmed by the Legislature on April 8.
