Stedman blasts Palin, praises Parnell
Ed Schoenfeld
JUNEAU, ALASKA (2009-07-08) Senator Bert Stedman can’t wait ‘til July 26th. That’s the day Governor Sarah Palin officially steps down, turning the reins of state government over to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell.
Stedman is a Sitka Republican who also represents Petersburg, Wrangell, Ketchikan, Pelican and Thorne Bay. He co-chairs the Senate Finance Committee, where he oversees the Legislature’s public-works budget.
That’s led to battles with Palin. CoastAlaska’s Ed Schoenfeld spoke with Stedman about his hopes for the Parnell administration, and his views of soon-to-be-former governor.
