KETCHIKAN, ALASKA (2010-03-05) The cost of terminating nine Gateway Center for Human Services employees from the City of Ketchikan’s payroll has dropped considerably. Staff earlier this week warned the Ketchikan City Council that it could cost more than $1 million to pull the employees from the state’s retirement system. The cost has since been adjusted down to around $10,000.
