A 39-year-old Ketchikan woman faces charges after a roll-over accident this weekend.
Felica Smith is charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test, both A misdemeanors. According to court documents, police responded to reports of a roll-over accident on the 900 block of Park Avenue Sunday. A witness said Smith and a passenger were able to exit the vehicle through the passenger door without injuries. When officers arrived at the scene, Smith allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication. Police said she refused to participate in field sobriety tests.
Smith faces up to a year in prison and a $10,000 fine for each charge. She was released on her own recognizance Monday, and her next court appearance is Nov. 7.
