A man is charged with felony assault in the third degree, harassment in the first degree and disorderly conduct after a Labor Day weekend altercation.
Freeman Dundas III appeared to answer to the charges Tuesday in Ketchikan District Court.
According to court documents, police officers responded to the Super 8 Motel and Plaza Mall after receiving a call reporting a man yelling and creating a disturbance. Dundas was allegedly yelling, using profanity and screaming, even after officers warned him not to. Court documents say officers observed Dundas as he yelled at a man, knocked him to the ground, kicked him and spat in his face.
He was arrested at the scene Friday.
Dundas was arraigned in court Tuesday. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 9 for an attorney status hearing.
